Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of Decode My Feed (the “Service”), a website that analyzes a YouTube watch history export and returns an insight report. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Decode My Feed lets you upload a youtube-watch-history.json file created by our Chrome extension and, for a one-time fee, receive an AI-generated report describing patterns in your viewing. The file is parsed in your browser, a limited set of fields is sent to our analysis service to generate the report, and your watch data is not stored. How we handle data is described in our Privacy Policy.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service. By using it, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
3. Your responsibilities
By using the Service, you agree that:
- you have the right to upload the file you provide, and it is your own watch history or data you are otherwise authorized to use;
- you will not attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its underlying infrastructure; and
- you will not use the Service to violate any applicable law or the rights of others.
4. AI-generated insights
The report is produced by an automated model interpreting your watch data. It is provided for personal interest and reflection only. It is not professional, psychological, medical, financial, or other advice, and it may contain inaccuracies or interpretations you disagree with. You should not rely on it as a statement of fact about yourself or anyone else.
5. Payment, billing and refunds
Generating a report requires a one-time payment, shown to you before you pay. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as our authorized reseller and Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy handles the transaction, billing, and any applicable sales tax or VAT; your card details are entered with them and are never seen by us.
Because the report is a digital product delivered immediately on payment, all sales are final and payments are generally non-refundable. If the report fails to generate due to a technical fault on our side, or you were charged in error, contact us at the address below and we will work with you in good faith. This does not affect any statutory rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.
6. Third-party services
The Service depends on third parties, including the Chrome Web Store (to distribute the extension that exports your data), Supabase (serverless infrastructure), Anthropic (insight generation), Lemon Squeezy (payments), and Resend (email delivery of your report). Your use of those services is also subject to their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, including its design, text, and branding, belongs to us. The report generated from your data is yours to keep and use. These Terms do not grant you any rights in our trademarks or in the underlying software.
8. Availability
The Service is provided as-is. We may change, suspend, or discontinue it — in whole or in part — at any time without notice. We do not guarantee that it will always be available or error-free.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will meet your expectations or that the report will be accurate or complete.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the report giving rise to the claim.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Alberta, Canada. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer protections available to you under the law of your country or province of residence.
